About the Role
The Video Producer will film and edit our programs creating dynamic courses of the highest quality possible. This includes preparing faculty for filming and maintaining the associated workflows. The culture at Lawline encourages producers to work collaboratively and creatively. Our talented team of producers are able to conceptualize and create a wide array of content. The Video Producer, while logistics-focused, will still be involved in the production and facilitation of creative content initiatives.
Our producers work to maintain consistency in the product experience for both users and faculty. Over the course of a week our producers may film up to 15 programs. They connect directly with faculty to facilitate the best setup of their equipment for maintaining the quality content our customers have come to expect. They then ensure an efficient and timely post-production process so that the programs are added to our on-demand catalog. Our producers work diligently to carry out interdepartmental initiatives, faculty media requests address customer comments and various creative content projects while still maintaining the daily filming schedule. Production’s role directly impacts the core product of the company and is crucial.
Responsibilities:
- Live streaming, recording, and post-production of Lawline programs, including the use of OBS and Zoom for live streaming and recording, and Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Media Encoder for post-production.
- Counseling faculty on remote filming logistics by conducting thorough Zoom tests with faculty to ensure they are fully prepared on the date of their program, providing training on slide navigation during live webcasts, and maintain optimal audio/video setup.
- Provide ongoing support by troubleshooting any filming-related concerns to ensure a smooth recording experience and responding to any questions faculty have regarding filming logistics
- Communicating and handling updates via various workflows
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or 3 years of equivalent experience required
- Competency in Adobe Creative Suite
- Basic understanding of Google Suite and Trello preferred
- Knowledge of production equipment and industry standards
- Must work well under pressure.
